Next step of 2008 EBGT will be held in France. This was announced by World Backgammon Association, which also had defined the dates for this event. So all backgammon pros and lovers prepare to pack your stuff and get a French visa. The 6th French Open d´Enghien-les-Bains & 4th European Doubles Championships will take place in Enghien-les-Bains in Paris, France from 28th of October to 2nd of November.

This will be one of the hottest competitions you can imagine and major event of backgammon season. Pros will like nice 50,000 € prize. Amateur players shouldn’t pass this event too! Player’s of all skill level can participate as this event has 4 separate divisions of competition: amateurs, intermediate, advanced and masters. Organizers claim all major backgammon stars and World/Europe champions will be present here. Ladies, you are always welcome at French Open as you can participate in Ladies Tournament. All members are eligible for participating in Jackpots and Super-Jackpots drawing and consultations by top pro players.

All participants also have a chance to attend exclusive Backgammon seminar and pick the most interesting and useful hints and tricks from the backgammon guru Matvey “Falafel” Natanzon.

This year “European Backgammon Tour” (EBGT) is popular as it has never been previously. French Open is one of tournament’s stages, offering a free seat in EBGT-stop for its winner.
